What is PCO technology

Photocatalyst is a kind of titanium dioxide [TiO2] as a representative of the photocatalytic function of the photosemiconductor materials of the general term. Under the UVA   light, with the energy of   the specific wavelength light source (wavelength of 365-390nm) to produce the effect of catalyst, the surrounding of oxygen and water molecules are resolved into active hydroxyl [OH¯] and oxygen ions [O2¯] such as free radicals, highly and thus has a strong oxidation function, can destroy bacteria cell membrane and curing viral proteins, can promote the decomposition of organic matter, decompose organic matter into water [H2O] and carbon dioxide [CO2] which will not change itself. These highly oxidizing free radicals can almost decompose all harmful organic substances and some inorganic substances to the huma body or the environment.

So it has functions of sterilization, deodorization, formaldehyde removal, hydrophilic, ultraviolet-proof and air purification.
